Summary[]

After severely injuring Basara, the stranger blames Mio for her decision of involving the people around her for her own cause. As Maria nurses Basara back to health, Mio ruminates on surrendering herself and her inherited powers to the stranger to prevent her companions from getting any further harm. However, Yuki arrives to thwart Mio and the stranger's departure and proceeds to fight him. With the stranger overpowering Yuki, Basara and Maria appears and eventually defeats the villain with Basara's signature skill, "Banishing Shift"; however, Basara is once again severely impaled by the unknown man's demon, resulting to Mio's power to lose control out of extreme shock. Basara recovers from his injuries and appeases Mio using his Banishing Shift. Following the incident, Yuki provides Maria with a special medicine for Basara's recovery and expresses her joy for the latter for completely controlling his powers. At school, Basara reveals Yahiro as the stranger. Basara and Yahiro makes a temporary truce as Basara holds the fact of reporting Yahiro's failure to his superiors as leverage and as act of trust from Yahiro's intention of not killing him and Maria. Yahiro then provides Basara with the name of the perpetrator that killed Mio's parents—Zolgear. Meanwhile, Jin makes a call to an unknown recipient.
