Demon Lord

The Demon Lord (魔王, Demon King) is a title that is bestowed upon to the Ruler of the Demon Realm.

Description

Not much is known about the origin of the title "Demon Lord" aside from the fact that there have been generations of several Demon Lords taking rein as leaders of the Demon Realm who continued on with their longtime grudge against the Gods and their battle against their new enemies known as the Heroes.

The previous Demon Lord, Wilbert was known as the "Strongest Demon Lord" held unfounded fame and authority among the Demon Realm mostly due to his superior strength. However, different from the previous Demon Lords, Wilbert desires there to be peace and during the Great War, he announced a truce between both the demons and heroes. Though before his supposed "death", he somehow transferred his power to his daughter conceived by his late human wife, Ashe and sent her into the Human World to live a normal life.

After Wilbert died, Leohart, a war hero during the Great War was voted to take the position as the Demon Lord by the "Demon Council", as a result of his strength and charisma. Though, their reasons were to take advantage of him being so young and control him from behind the scenes. It was then that Leohart sought to get his hands on the power that Wilbert had left with his daughter in order to bring down the Demon Council and bring true order to the Demon Realm.
